Privacy Policy
This page explains what freevine.com and Freevine Signals (signals.freevine.com) collect, what it is used for, how long it is kept, and how to reach us. The operator is Freevine Labs LLC, Dallas, Texas.
Visit analytics
This site measures visits with our own Freevine Signals. There is no Google Analytics and no advertising pixel. Each visit records the page path, the referring site’s domain, the three UTM tags on the link, a coarse device type and region (the country code from Cloudflare), and the autonomous system number (ASN) of the visitor’s network, which we use to recognise automated browsers running in data centres. We do not record IP addresses, page parameters, or full referrer URLs, and we do not fingerprint browsers.
The IP address is hashed once at the edge with SHA-256 together with this site’s reporting key. The central database only ever sees the hash, never the IP. The hash stays with the visit record for 35 days and is used for one thing: letting a business exclude visits from its own network, which also deletes the visits already recorded from that network.
Raw visit records stay online for 35 days and then move to archive storage. Daily aggregates are kept for 400 days.
- 01fv_idA first-party, HttpOnly random visitor ID that counts visits from the same browser as one visitor. It is renewed every 30 days.
- 02fv_ignoreAn exclusion flag. Once set on a device belonging to the business or to Freevine, visits from that browser are no longer counted.
Information you send us
- 01Contact formName, phone or email, business name, website, message, what you are asking about, and how you prefer to be contacted. Used only to reply to that inquiry; contact details are kept for at most 365 days.
- 02Free one-page diagnosisBusiness name, city, industry, website, email, and notes. The request is kept for at most 90 days and then deleted automatically. Attribution uses a random session ID to connect the first landing path, referrer domain, and three UTM tags; no IP address is stored.
- 03Email and WeChatMessages you send us directly are kept as ordinary business correspondence.
AI crawler log
At the edge, this site recognizes AI crawlers such as GPTBot and ClaudeBot and logs the time, path, and crawler name to observe AI citation. These records contain no personal information.
Freevine Signals users
- 01Sign-inYou sign in with a Google account. The only scopes are openid and email: we take your email address and Google account ID to identify you and your sites. The signed-in state lives in a session cookie and ends when you sign out.
- 02Search ConsoleYou can choose to connect Google Search Console to your dashboard. The scope is read-only (webmasters.readonly) and can be revoked at any time in your Google account. Query data is kept for 480 days.
- 03Your site’s visitor dataBusiness websites connected to Signals are measured exactly as described under Visit analytics above. The business controls that data; Freevine processes it on the business’s behalf and for no other purpose.
Third-party services
We do not sell data to anyone and do not run cross-site advertising tracking.
- 01CloudflareHosting, content delivery, rate limiting, and security. Cloudflare processes the connecting IP address for that purpose.
- 02GoogleSign-in and Search Console. Business icons on the AI Visibility Index and the homepage board load from Google’s favicon service, so your browser makes one request to google.com.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct, or delete the information we hold about you: email calvin@freevine.com and we reply within 30 days.
This site is for businesses. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
