AI SEO services Get recommended by ChatGPT
when local customers ask who to call.

Every month, your customers’ questions go to ChatGPT to see how it describes you. If it leaves you out, your website gets the answers it’s missing. If it gets you wrong, the fix starts at the source, so AI recommends you more often.

Understand how AI picks businesses to earn more recommendations.

When a customer asks a question, ChatGPT runs multiple searches across websites, reviews, and directories before picking who to recommend. What it finds decides whether you get mentioned. Ask the same thing twice, and the list often changes.

  1. It runs several searches in a row. When a page on your website directly answers the question, AI finds and cites your business easily.

    • Plano dentist Chinese
    • Plano 牙医 周六
    • dentist near Plano open Saturday
  2. It gives reasons for its picks, like high ratings, Chinese spoken, or open Saturdays. When details match across every site, AI recommends your business with confidence.

    • 4.9 rating
    • Speaks Chinese
    • Open Saturdays
  3. It lists the sites it cited, usually licensing boards, Angi, and the BBB. When your details are accurate there, AI cites your business with confidence.

    • cslb.ca.gov
    • angi.com
    • bbb.org
  • 1 in 5

Only 1 in 5 businesses recommended by AI were also in Google’s top three map results.

  • About 20%

Ask the same question twice, and the recommendations match exactly only about 20% of the time.

  • About half

Questions asked in Chinese and English recommend only about half the same businesses.

Data: Freevine AI Index, August 2026

Monthly actions that grow your AI visibility.

Your website and Google Business Profile are covered by local SEO. These extra steps focus strictly on growing your AI visibility. What local SEO covers

Sample data: Brightleaf Dental’s monthly retest

Test customer questions monthly to find where AI leaves you out

Standard and up

A question list matches your trade and city: 50 questions on Standard, 150 on City Exclusive. Every question goes to ChatGPT 3 times a month. Your monthly report tracks which answers mention your business, where you rank, which sites get cited, and where AI still misses you.

Sample data

Add missing answers to your website for AI to cite

Standard and up

Monthly tests pinpoint what AI cannot answer, such as prices, hours, or languages spoken. Each gap gets a new page or section on your website that answers the question upfront, making it easy for AI to cite.

Sample page; figures are examples

Publish job records only you have, so AI cites your site

Standard and up

These pages are built from your actual job records: location, the problem, the fix, and the rough cost. Because AI cannot find this anywhere else, it has to cite your website. A mobile AI app once repeated a repair job straight from Li Shifu’s site. You provide the notes, and we handle the writing: 1 page a month on Standard, 2 on City Exclusive.

Sample data

Correct errors at the source so AI recommends you with confidence

Standard and up

If AI gets your phone number, address, hours, or languages wrong, the fix starts at the source site that misstated it, while your website clarifies the facts. Listings on the sites AI checks most, like licensing boards, Yelp, and the BBB, get set up and corrected too.

All plans

The Signals dashboard breaks out visitors from ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Gemini separately, and estimates visits from mobile AI apps. When someone calls directly from an AI answer, website analytics cannot catch it, so simply ask callers how they found your business.

No one can promise that ChatGPT will always recommend you. We can only fix the sources it reads, and no tracker can catch every direct phone call from AI.

See whether each AI platform recommends you more.

Where questions can be asked, monthly tests check if AI recommends you. Where they cannot, platform reports and incoming visitors show your visibility growing.

Before hiring to grow your AI visibility, ask these six questions first.

  1. Which AI platforms do you test, and how many times per question?

A solid answer gives specific numbers, like how many questions, which AI, runs per question, and testing frequency.

    See how it works

  2. Can I see the AI’s actual answers and cited websites?

A single score never reveals what AI actually said about you or which sites it cited.

    See a sample report

  3. If AI gets my info wrong, how is it fixed?

The error must be traced to the source website and corrected there, so AI can recommend you with confidence.

    See how errors get fixed

  4. Can you guarantee ChatGPT will recommend me?

No. No one can guarantee AI will recommend you. If someone makes that promise, ask what it is based on.

    See what is covered

  5. How do you count calls from AI?

Mobile AI apps rarely pass web referrers, and customers often call straight from the answer. Ask how those leads get estimated.

    See how it gets counted

  6. How is this different from local SEO?

A lot of “AI optimization” just puts a new label on SEO. Ask what actual work gets done to get you recommended by AI.

    See what gets added

The answers to all six questions are right on this page.

Questions

Can ChatGPT always recommend my business at the top?

No one can. AI looks up live information every time it answers. In August AI Index data, asking the same question 10 times put the same business first in fewer than 1 in 10 cases. What you can hold us to is the monthly work and the data you can check. The 90-day guarantee is measured by qualified inquiries, not AI rankings.

How soon do changes show up?

AI picks up edits on a website the next time it searches. Fixes on third-party sites depend on those platforms and take longer. The first month sets the baseline. Retests run every month, with every shift in AI visibility documented in your monthly report.

Is an llms.txt file necessary?

It is optional, and it will not earn recommendations. Google has stated that its AI features do not require llms.txt or special AI markup. Site builds include one at no extra charge, without pitching it as a ranking feature.

Should AI crawlers be allowed on the website?

To appear in ChatGPT search answers, do not block its search crawler. OpenAI makes it clear that sites blocking OAI-SearchBot will not show up in search answers. Training crawlers like GPTBot are entirely your choice. Monthly technical checks inspect this every time.

What if AI gets the phone number or address wrong?

Track down the source first. Most mistakes come from old directory listings, outdated info from before a move, or errors on third-party pages. Fixes happen at the source, while the website states the clear facts. AI only reads new content the next time it searches. Monthly retests verify the fix.

Do Chinese and English questions get the same answers?

No. In August AI Index data, asking about the same trade in the same city in English versus Chinese brought up matching businesses only about half the time. Asking twice in the same language showed far higher overlap. Question sets cover both languages, and results are reported separately.

Does AI bring website visits or phone calls, and how are they counted?

Both happen. Clicks from links inside AI answers show up directly on the dashboard. Visits opened from mobile AI apps often carry no referral data, so those are estimated. If AI displays a phone number and someone calls without visiting the site, website analytics cannot track it. Asking callers how they found the business helps catch those.

Do customer reviews affect AI recommendations?

Yes. AI answers often quote specific details from reviews, like “speaks Chinese” or “came on a weekend.” When asking customers for a review, suggest they mention the specific service and city. Review requests must come from you directly. We do not write or post reviews.

How does AI SEO relate to local SEO?

AI SEO is also called generative engine optimization (GEO), answer engine optimization (AEO), or ChatGPT SEO. Google has stated that optimizing for generative AI search is still SEO. Both share the same foundation of website, Google Business Profile, and content. AI SEO builds on that by retesting questions, filling content gaps AI has, fixing errors at the source, and tracking AI traffic separately.

Does buying a plan change rankings on the AI Index?

Not at all. The AI Index is generated through a published sampling method. Buying or skipping services will not change any ranking.

Will structured data (Schema) get a business recommended by AI?

Not on its own. Google states that structured data is not required for its AI features. It simply helps search engines read business names, addresses, and hours. Site builds include proper setup, without pitching it as an AI ranking tactic.

Do tests only cover ChatGPT? What about Perplexity and Gemini?

Monthly retests focus on ChatGPT. Google AI Overviews are checked directly in Search Console, and Copilot in Bing Webmaster Tools. For Perplexity, Gemini, and Claude, incoming visitors are tracked, but answers are not sampled.
